Project 2, Day 01 Log

I got a shaping foam and made 2 shapes as an option. The rules that I thought to keep are as follows:

- Can be held with one hand, but comfy to hold it with 2 hands.

- Round corners

- At least one of the surface can hold 2x1.5" screen.

- Free Standing

- Should be able to fit in pockets, no bigger than average size of adult's palm.

- Ergonomic design letting people to hold this device easily.

 

The First Option

The first option resembles pebble than can be found around water. Thanks to its fatter back, it feels stable to hold it with with one hand. Also, the descendent at the bottom works as thumb rest.

The Second Option

The second option features with round shape and finger rest deeps at the back. It might be fun to play with the deep. However, since everyone's finger size is different, it might not be as universal as the first one.

After visualizing my idea, I decided to go for the first option for its slick, round and universal design.
