MILESTONE PROJECT 1: STACKED SLICES MODEL

 I was assigned to build a stacked slice model using grasshopper and laser printing.  Research I looked for some examples of this project and found some interesting examples.       I think these examples are interesting since unlike other examples the instructor showed, these structures have slices arrayed on circular shape and it is showcasing much free-er form than just shape extruded from the bottom and laid on the bottom. And some of the examples were showcasing very organic form and I think organic form made with high technology like laser cut is such an interesting irony and wanted to try it. Planning While doing previous projects, I saw some YouTube tutorials explaining how to build a wavy wall. I thought maybe I can build a wall that is looking similar and use slice command in grasshopper. Parametric Structure & Animation

  For this week, we had to make an GIF animation showcasing parametric structure. Originally, I planned to a firework since I thought by using parametric factor, I could adjust objects' scale and number, as well as the length of the objects' axis. Process First of all, I made a system where I can change length of my base axis. To do so, I used number slide and made changes to the location of the starting and ending point of the line, as well as the length of the line. After figured out one line, I made another set of the system and edited the range of the number slide, from "0<20" to "-20<0." Below are how it looked like. With 2 individual number slides for each axis, I couldn't control them at the same time. So after researching, I used "Remap" feature, which allows me to adjust the values of two number slides at the same time. Below is the sketch of the structure. Project 3: 3D Printing

 After modeling up my Penguin chess set, I rendered it out and also printed it out.   Before printing everything, I was concerning whether the beaks will be printed fine, so I tried using supports out before printing the whole piece. The outcome seem to be work great, including the concerning bishop whole on the piece, so I started working with the entire piece. < Concerning version of Emperor Penguin-King Piece > < Changing its size didn't seem to solve the problem > When I delivered my file to Prusa Slicer, I found that the crown on top of it is quite small that didn't developed well in the program. Tried changing size and it doesn't seem to be fixing the problem. After I printed it out, I figured that it actually doesn't print well. I changed its design, so that it would have volume.
